Craig Ropiha Kawana

With over 40 years as an artist and qualified educator, Craig Kawana has left his trademark style across the region, country and even globe. In the Manawatū, he is perhaps best known for his tomokanga, as well as his distinctly curated style of carving korowai; evoking the flowing realism of fabric from Hellenistic art, coupling it with traditional whakairo and bold colourings.
