Our Engagement Process

1. Initial Enquiry

Engagement usually begins with a kōrero. Organisations are encouraged to get in touch with an outline of their kaupapa, project scope, location, and any relevant timeframes. This helps us understand the intent and context from the outset.

2. Scoping & Alignment

We review the enquiry internally to assess alignment with Rangitāne priorities, capacity, and the appropriate pathway for engagement. This may involve identifying whether the kaupapa sits within areas such as environmental management, cultural advisory, creative commissioning, or community support.

3. Hui & Relationship Building

Where appropriate, we will arrange a hui to explore the kaupapa in more detail. This stage focuses on building a shared understanding, clarifying expectations, and ensuring that engagement is meaningful rather than transactional.

4. Agreement & Delivery

Once scope and direction are confirmed, we agree on roles, responsibilities, timelines, and resourcing. Delivery may be led internally or in collaboration with our networks, including artists, practitioners, and subject matter experts.

5. Ongoing Engagement

We prioritise maintaining strong relationships beyond individual projects. Ongoing communication allows for continuity, future opportunities, and ensures that outcomes remain aligned with the original intent.
